The operation of the pilot facilities of the CIRC4FooD project in the Municipality of Trikala is progressing rapidly.
The installation of the vegetable garden and the IoT systems in the 27th Primary School, gave the opportunity to the students and teachers to get acquainted with the smart technologies in urban agriculture but also with the circular management of natural resources.
The students planted various vegetables in order to grow them, harvest them and use them for healthy meals in the school canteen. In this way, students understand the importance and benefits of the circular economy and the proper management of natural resources while enhancing their education on environmental issues and healthy diet.
